Hi Wayne took these photos of my fur and feather collection

is there any other i should look out for i do a lot of permited shooting
and can get any legaly shootable bird vermin only this time of year
ie pidgion rook crow jackdaw jay magpie usually leave all the birds apart from pidgion

That lot looks spot on. Dont think you really need anything else but Im sure you soon start collecting capes of various colours just like I have. May be worth you seeking out a good genetic grizzle cape. These capes have long, thin uniformed hackles that are ideal for all manners of flies but are very good for your dry fly hackling and will hackle a fly down to the smaller sizes.

I would be interested in feathers, prefer full skins if poss bit loose feathers would be fine. The ones I use a lot of are:
Partridge
Pheasant
As many blue jay wings as you can get(you have some in your pics above 4th pic down, blue & black barred feather between the red feathers with a few pheasant tippets mixed in).

yes i have shot a lot of jays in the past and left them in the hedge bottom willbring them home in future
what do i have to do to the skins of the birds to preserve them? pm me your adress and when they are in season i will post you some mate
