Rod Bands

Post by Guest on Tue Nov 25, 2008 2:04 am

well i normally have a 12ft 2piece feeder rod & 12ft 2 piece 1.75 test rod set upwhen i go fishing wether it in a match or pleasure. dont very often use them but allways take them.
I have found that the seat belt shoulder protectors you can buy in poundshops in packs of 2 are ideal to put round a rod as they give a lot better protection for the important tip eyes of the rod. they are normally about 6 - 8 inches long, padded & velcro fastening.
to me a lot more safer than the standard rod bands.
these would probably be suitable for beachcaster rods as well
