Just spoke to Zyg at anglers paradise with a very generous offer of the Free use of his match lake to raise funds for the Brierley pond project
dates and match fees to be arranged places will be limited so anyone showing interest will be given priority

Welcome to number 42 e-newsletter.
As you can see all the lakes at Anglers Paradise are snow and ice free! The fish are moving and waiting for your bait, So come on down and catch a few. Proof that work never ceases at Anglers Paradise. Along with the many maintenance tasks, our estate staff have been busy reinforcing and replacing swims around some of the lakes, here’s one on Easy Access they are calling “The Fortress”. For all the dog lovers amongst us, here is a picture of Mooha one of the Jack Russells with her new litter of puppies, Mother and puppies are all fine. If you are interested in owning one give me a call on 01409 221559. There are 3 females and 1 male.
Lure Weekend
It is our intention in the near future to hold a weekend of lure fishing. Any method providing no trebles or wire is involved. The lakes involved will be on the Nirvana complex where we have the Trout Lake (Browns, Blues Tiger and Rainbow Trout along with Grass Carp and Orfe) also the Catfish Lake which holds some very nice Perch to over 3lbs. Details will be released soon in the next Newsletter, but if you are interested give me a call. We will be offering accommodation on the weekend, but it will also be open to non-residents.
Good News!
Valentines will be on us shortly, so why not treat your loved one to a romantic candlelit meal with disco and squeeze in a bit of fishing, rub shoulders with the legend Des Taylor. We still have one or two places available in our luxurious four poster villas. Villas for two are going very quickly. Matt’s Carping Adventure

Two opportunities to fish at Anglers Paradise with Matt Hayes, 1) Carp Challenge:- Arrive Saturday, October 5, free day to fish any of the lakes. Meet in the bar in the evening 7-8 pm for a briefing. Sunday and Monday fish in a range of styles – float, feeder, or leger - for carp under the guidance of Matt and friends. Monday evening, prize giving and certificates for the best catches of the trip 7-8pm. Depart 10 am Oct 8. Price: £800 per couple (£400 each) this includes all permits, Matt Hayes 2 day tuition, and accommodation in a four star self-catering lodge.

2) Matt’s Rod Race Adventure: Arrive Wednesday, October 9, free day to fish any of the lakes - meet in bar in the evening 7-8pm for a briefing. Thursday and Friday fish in a range of styles under the guidance of Matt and friends. Friday night, fun prize-giving and certificates for the biggest varieties of fish caught. 7-8pm. Price: £800 per couple (£400 each) this includes all permits, Matt Hayes 2 day tuition, and accommodation in a four star self-catering lodge. 3 Personal Bests
We all hear of fisherman's tales, of how 'that big one got away', and we also hear tales of those jammy sods who just hit the jackpot in the space of days when you have been trying for years...The Winner of our recent Fish Of The Week was one of those 'Jammy Sods', and not only caught 1 new Personal Best but then went onto catching 3 new Personal Bests and managed one hell of a Anglers Paradise Grand Slam - Kieran Evans, 18, from Wales caught a 52lb Cat, a 26lb Mirror and then completed his Grand Slam with an amazing 5lb 2oz Golden Tench!
Many fisherman can only dream to catch 3 different species of such a great size and a new personal best each time but Kieran did it for real and it just goes to show that dreams can come true! Kieran caught the PB 52lb Wels Catfish from our day ticket Specimen Cat Lake on 2, 21mm Halibut Pellets fished to the island with plenty of halibut pellets scattered around the hook bait. Kieran caught his PB 26lb Mirror from the Specimen Carp Lake  on a Cell Pop Up Boilie and the PB 5lb 2oz Golden Tench was also from the Specimen Carp lake on a Cell Pop Up boilie with scattered boilies around it.
Kieran said “I am doing the euro millions tonight 3 pb's in the space of 3 days I don't think it could get much better!! Thank you angler’s paradise! A place to smash your Pb’s!
