Re: Important message to all anglers
If we all get behind organisations like the DAA our voices can be heard perhaps Nick could get a pettition going
to insist situations like this are given priority and maybe get some answers as to where the revenue the collect goes maybe trading standards would be interested ?

Re: Important message to all anglers
I bet if they had had poached pheasants or deer from the Queens estate up the road from me the Police would have acted.
There has been poaching in some form for as long as anyone can remember, i have done so myself for pheasants ect years ago. I can understand someone doing it occasionaly for a meal for there family i have also in years gone by took home Pike, Zander & Eels for my families table. but not on the scale of what seems to be hapening nowadays.
Could it be that quite a few of the oversea visitors could just wanteducating in our ways of catch & release

Re: Important message to all anglers
I confess i too have poached the odd Pheasant in my dark past and also have had Pike and Eel one for the pot as we used to say.But i think our foreign visitors know it is against the law to do it but also know it is very likely they wont get caught and they can make an easy living out of it one for the table from a wild river i can understand if not condone. But taking from a fishery that someone has invested a lot of time effort and money building is stealing just as much as it is taking food from a supermarket
