Fishing Festival 2010
Following on from the success of this years Festival we are proud to announce that we will be holding the third annual Festival Of Fishing over the weekend of the 5th and 6th of June at the Peterstone Fishery in South Wales. (20 minutes over the bridge)
Martin Cronin has offered us the lakes free of charge and is in the process of making the whole complex accessible to all.
Despite the change in location we hope that as many of you as possible who have supported the Festival in the past will be able to come along and support us again, we will be keeping he cost of the weekend the same at £20 for the whole weekend.
Could all those interested in attending please post in this thread we have the space at Peterstone to accommodate 60 anglers so hopefully the 2010 festival will be even bigger and better than the last two.
Hopefully someone will be able to prise the best angler (by weight) from Kevs hands after he won it for the second time
As Reels On Wheels is all about making angling accessible for everyone we have decided to encourage parents to bring their children to the 2010 Festival by having seperate medals/trophies for the best performing angler under the age of 16, they will fish the main matches and still be in with a chance of winning the main trophies but they will also have their own section to compete for.
So when you sign up think about bringing your kids along too

Re: Fishing Festival 2010
We have just been given the most amazing prize for the fishing Festival by France Carp they have most generously donated a weeks fishing on their lake in the Limousin region of France for two anglers on a drive and survive basis.
In the lake are cats to over 80lb and carp to over 50lb so the winner of this prize could get the catch of a lifetime whilst there.
I'm sure you are all wondering how you can win this prize, well it is simple!!.
Firstly you will need to get your name down to attend the festival and fish both days'
Secondly you will need to catch the biggest weight of carp over the weekend we will add together the weights of your carp keepnets on both days along with any single fish weighed and returned, silver fish will not count towards this prize but will still count towards the trophies.
Alan Simpson from France Carp will be attending to present the prize to the winning angler.
Everyone at Reels On Wheels would like to say a huge thank you to Alan and everyone at France Carp for their generosity.

With only 4 weeks untill the festival I have ordered the trophies for the Sunday Reels On Wheels match, this is what Julz chose as suitable trophies for the winners, I think they will look great on someones mantle piece .......... Kev I hope you have run out of room on your mantle and will give others a chance
We still have a few spaces left if anyone would like to join us for a fun weekend.
