A trip over the bridge today with site member "j-lo"
started at with a 5am alarm call
1st cast at 6.30am, into a gale force, freezin cold northerly wind
resulted in nothin...........J-lo had enough by 11am so he called it a day and shot home

as the tide dropped i went down onto the mud to try and get some more distance
as soon as i did i had a 2.5lb codlin on the bank
More fish from the humber Photo0030

Next chuck resulted in a missed bite
then the following cast i had a 5lb 15oz cod
the 3x 3lbers on the trot all went quiet then with just a whiting and a flounder over low water.

2 hours into the flood, i picked up on consecutive casts, another 2.5lber and a 4lb 12oz cod
More fish from the humber Photo0031

packed up at 5pm, tired, cold, hungry, but happy!! Wink
ended with 7 cod a whitting and a flounder
(3 of the cod where kept for a mate) all other returned

got this with the permision of lawman on another site that would be of great interest to you it has some great members all very helpful and macky the admin is very helpful he gave me some help with my site
just click the link http://macky1.proboards30.com/index.cgi
I am yet again to meet this Friday with MIC regarding access to the wall at stallingbrough....

they have invited the Humberside Police Counter Terrorism Team to try and reason with myself regarding the barriers MIC have placed on the wall...

i have requested that Acko and Tony Ellis to be present at the meeting in order that this will draw an ending to this matter.

i have also emailed DEFRA to be present to air there views. as they also disagree with the barriers.

hopefully the meeting will resolve this matter once and for all..

thanks lawman
latest from lawman
Acko and I attended the meeting this morning. Present at the meeting were MIC’s Health and Safety team, together with two members of the Humberside Police Counter Terrorism Team.

I agreed with Acko presenting the opening statement in relation to reasons for the removal of the barriers. Acko’s discussion was rudely interrupted by the leading speaker from the CTU unit (antiterrorist team), to which he apologised later.

It would seem to be the case that the CTU were there to make us listen to their reasons as to the barriers being placed in the first instance; they were prepared to listen to what we had to say, but shunned any ideas we had. I was not impressed with the way the CTU conducted themselves in relation to our problem.

It is defiantly the case that MIC is hiding behind the anti-terrorist team that are advising them on anti-terrorist safety.

The CTU did explain the reason behind the barriers to which I agreed to part of, but not all…

I did not agree with the situation that the barrier must remain closed at all time.

However, after the CTU team had left, head of safety was prepared to try and iron out a resolution to the situation in hand. For this I thank them.

MIC are not prepared to open or remove the barrier at bay 26.

However, they are taking further advice into the removal of the old barrier that is between Cray Valley and MIC… an answer within 21 days will be received by myself. I will try my utmost to get the answer sooner for you guys, but it’s in their hands.

This would allow a shorter walk to the yellow cross and full access behind the wood, so that fisherpersons would be able to fish at anytime.

More importantly, disabled fisherpersons will have access with their cars.

Also, all users of that area will need to file a registration document with their details on it.

There will also be a charge for the 1 years registration of £5.00 (five pounds)

Anyone that is not registered will not be allowed to fish in that area. Make no mistake the area is under surveillance 24/7. When a vehicle enters, its registration details will be checked with MIC’s list of registered users.

IF YOU’RE NOT REGISTERED THEY WILL THROW YOU OFF. It’s that simple.

Consider the fact that this is MIC’s land and they do not need to give access to anyone at all.

I am informing the site solely due to rumours I have heard today.
We have made progress today and it does look good for the future. We will all have to look after this if agreed.

THE RUMOURS OF CUTTING THE BARRIERS DOWN WITH STILLSAWS, DOES NOT IMPRESS ME AT ALL. <IMG alt=">Sad" src="http://s3.images.proboards.com/angry.gif" border=0>

I WILL REMOVE MYSELF FROM NEGOTIATIONS WITH MIC IF A MEMBER OF THIS SITE GOES TO SUCH EXTREME MEASURES. <IMG alt=">Sad" src="http://s3.images.proboards.com/angry.gif" border=0>

I believe that MIC is looking towards a resolution just like we are guys. Don’t spoil it by committing criminal damage. THIS WILL NOT HELP ANYONE AT ALL.
