Yorkshire v Lancashire
Had an invite from Ryan and his dad to fish for Yorkshire in the War of the Roses match held at Fleetwood and glad accepted we not only won the match by a good margin but I won overall and Ryan also got valuable points for the team looking forward to the return match in three weeks time in Hull anyone wishing to fish for the Red or White rose will be made welcome full results as follows

I'd like to attend though dont know if its going to be possible.
Also not sure on the marks your fishing ie: rough ground/sandy/kelp etc as I only have my mag elite and its not really any good on rough ground.

have fished the Humber a few times m8 but not fished the Macro mark yet Ryans dad Paul is the man to answer your questions but mainly dabs,whiting and codling muddy bottom and fast flowing so short cast is usully the norm but i am sure Ryan will answer your post hope you can make it m8 plenty of lads from Blackpool commingBuck2003 wrote:I'd like to attend though dont know if its going to be possible.

Think its a safe bet I'll be going, I struggle dropping cast short, but guess I'll have to. Just picked up new rod (well 2nd hand) Greys apollo (14ft) need another multiplier if any going cheap, mag elite, or penn 525/535 preferable.

The match will now take place at Kilnsea with 4 anglers from this forum taking part me Ryan and his dad for Yorkshire and Buck2003 for Lankashire good luck to all taking part.looking forward to meeting up again. I will post a full report on Sunday hopefully with pictures of some fish

well we had hard lines the team won but i finnished second overall by 4 cm and Ryan finnished second on the day by 3cm having caught a lovely Bass and a flounder we did however finnish 1st and second in the Yorkshire team
and feel proud as punch with our efforts
Here is Ryan with his bass biggest of the whole contest but unfortunately no biggest fish prize

Well done the old grey fox on the left for pipping me to the post unlucky Rabbi 2 in the middle the Lankashire capt and recieving the trophy for Yorkshire our capton the right
and feel proud as punch with our efforts
