disabled friendly venues
i would like to start a thread that gives disabled anglers a clue about venues that are easily accessable and with good facilities,
my first venue is bury hill fishery in dorking surrey,
it is a popular day ticket water with plenty of silver fish to be caught as well as a chance of a carp, pike or zander.
the car park is very close to the lodge/tackle shop and the swims are easily reached along well maintained paths,
the swims are all well boarded so wheelchair use would not be a problem

New disabled fishery opening in France
I thought I would let you know that I am opening a fishery in France next month which caters specifically for disabled anglers. I have had tremendous support from the BDAA and have followed all their guidelines.
I am situated in the centre of France and my lake is about 3 acres in size and I re-stocked the lake approximately two years ago. The lake has not yet been fished commercially so if anyone is interested in being the first to fish please do let me know.
My website address is www.fishylake.net

Re: disabled friendly venues
The fishery will be ready for fishermen on Saturday 30th May. It has four swims and if the lake is hired exclusively the cost is £525 which isn't bad. I also offer a food package which includes English breakfast, afternoon tea and evening meal which works out at £10 per day per person. I also offer equipment hire from as little as £8 per day.
If you need more info. please don't hesitate to ask

Re: disabled friendly venues
When I first bought the lake in 2006, there were already fish in it but I added more fish in 2007 which included a very large head of carp up to and around 30lb, large roach and tench. There were already some large perch and some cats in the lake.
Because I have fed the fish regularly since I bought the lake, the fish would have increased in size and as the lake has not yet been fished commercially I don't know their current weights.
Thanks for your interest.
