Welcome to number 25 e-newsletter.

It's all go down at Anglers at the moment, we are getting ready for
next weeks netting. It's the turn of the Main Lake so we are already starting to drain the lake. It
will be interesting to see some of those huge Catfish as well as the Carp who have put a fair bit
of weight on this year. As usual the week will be our biggest charity fundraiser with Halloween
party, the legendary bingo night, fireworks and many more events. We hope this year to help the
Winsford Center who are in desperate need of a new mini bus.

Fishing
On the fishing
front, the fish are still moving with some nice fish banked Paul Willsea had two Golden Tench over
5lbs from the Speci Tench and Orfe Lake along with a Blue Tench of 4lb 6oz. Clint and Jamie, 5'C'S
members have once again been amongst the action with Clint banking a 26lb Mirror, whilst jamie just
pipped him with a cracking 27lb 8oz Common.
Last Call for Half Price November Offer
It's the last chance for those of you who have enjoyed a
holiday this year at Anglers to have a week at half price during November, except the Netting week.

Welcome to number 26 e-newsletter.

Well the Netting is over for another year and what a week it
was, once again I was staggered by the generosity of the people attending the netting and wish to
thank each and every one. We raised over £1500 and are set to donate a total of £2900 To
the Winsford Centre this week for their mini bus, which will mean the less able can access the
centre.
Funds were raised in a variety of
activities, Archery, Halloween Fancy Dress, Tombola, Bingo, Raffles, Quiz, Food, Fishing Match etc A
great time was had by all

Netting the Main Lake resulted in tons of
smaller fry, 15 Grass Carp, over 120 double figure Carp plus or minus 15lbs , 111 upper doubles and
twenties up to 30lbs. 10 Catfish over 40lbs to 60lbs and some stunning Orfe and
Tench.
Zyg,s monthly newsletter - Page 2 Netting2Filming
Quite a few of our
netters were suitably attired in evening dress and Halloween costume. We were filmed by BBC
Spotlight with yours truly wrestling a big Pussy on the bank and getting into trouble with the
Missus of course

Xmas and New Year Extravaganza

Just when we thought the netting was over, one of our netters,
who was heavily pregnant went into labour and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, more on this in
our next news letter.

Watch this space for New Years extravaganza
news, it looks like we have some super doper celebs coming.

Welcome to number 27 e-newsletter.

One of our netting nutters Lee Duffin got
more than he bargained for when his wife Emma gave birth to a baby girl Anna Louise at 7lb 2oz on
the 5November. Preparing to leave for the journey home, Emma thought her waters had broken. The family waited for a while and left at 10.30am for the hospital at Exeter. Anna Louise was born at about 6.30pm after a one and a half hour serious labour which kicked off when her waters
really burst the banks!. Zyg opened the bar next day and cracked open the bubbly to get Anna Louise

used to the Champagne lifestyle. The Duffins recuperated for a few days before driving home.

Don’t forget
to tune in to Sky Sports 4 at 6pm 14th November for another episode of Fishing Gurus.
Dean Macey takes part in a species hunt over a few hours, will he win, tune in to find out.

The staff Shangri La
fishing match took place at Anglers Shangri on Sunday, the usual high stakes saw Joe Drury take the
honours after a hard fought match

No Fool like an Old Fool

Rumour has it that our esteemed leader got
stuck in the silt this weekend. Visiting Eldorado “minus phone” to check on the water
levels he got the Mule stuck in the mud, on the way back he fell In to a trap specially constructed
by the digger drivers and had to dig his wellies out of the mud before he started the one and a half
mile journey home, arriving wet and bedraggled. On his arrival home he got scolded so went for a
shower and did not come down until he was bribed with food, mind you, this is only a rumour. Rose
says there’s no fool like an old fool.

letter. Details of New Years festivities and celebrities.

Welcome to number 29 e-newsletter.

Rumour has it
that our good friends Matt Hayes and Bob Roberts are joining in the fun at our famous New Years Eve
Party this year.

Matt and Bob have enjoyed many parties at
Anglers Paradise and as you can see in the picture, Matt certainly knows how to have a good
time.

Our New Years Eve Parties always kick the
New Year in with a bang, we have a Fancy Dress competition with a judging panel better than the
X-Factor's so watch out and get those costumes sorted.

How about this for an offer, Paradise Royale

Welcome to number 30 e-newsletter.

May all that you wish for in 2012 come true. Our New Year party was well attended, with some wicked fancy dress along with those who wore evening attire. The winner of the fancy dress was Mark Bloxham who came as the Alamo! The fishing match as usual took place on New Years Day with yours truly losing a nice fish in the margins. There have been some great catches including Jamie Miller with two good twenties from the Speci Lake also a 23lb Mirror from Kraking Karp. It was a pleasant surprise that amongst our honoured guests, we had two who had graced the festive edition of both the Angling Times and the Anglers Mail in Bob Roberts and Steve Collett respectvely.

Andaman Islands

Just come back from the Andamans. Rather battered, seas were really rough. I got caught in the tail end of the hurricane which devastated the Philippines and nearly went under. Caught over 21 different species of fish in 5 days, but not Dogtooth, we couldn't go to the right spots, was too rough. However, on the 5th day I decided to pack it in as we weren't getting anywhere, so we were on our way back to the harbour when I caught a couple of small Bonito and glory to God, a small Dogtooth. Moral of the story is never give up! Or as my wife says, there's no fool, like an old fool! See the Big Game section of the Website for the full story.

Wedding Blessing

On New Years Day I blessed Terry and Penny Croxall amidst a bit of miserable weather the sun shone on the righteous (as you know it never rains in Devon). Bob Roberts was a page boy and the happy couple were netted for eternity and promised to honour and obey each other and go fishing every day.

We have over 350 weeks already booked for 2012 and especially the villas for 2 are going very quickly call me to book the villa you wish for 2012. The next extravaganza is Valentines which is on the 17th, 18th and 19th February, it’s only £300 per couple including budget fishing ticket and candlelit dinner with Zyggy’s wine. I’m feeling generous so Splendour which is for two couples, normally £600 is on Special Offer at £400 for all four of you

Welcome to number 31 e-newsletter.

Although there are not too many anglers
around at the moment, fish are still moving. One of our estate staff Marti Rodgers caught a 30lb 6oz
Carp from Kraking Karp which had never been caught before, Marti was field testing the new Anglers
Paradise Boilies, he reckoned that there were no marks on the mouth, the curtain was still intact. A
virgin Carp that’s never been caught all those years it was in the lake, until it became a
30lb’er. The fish has now been nicknamed The Virgin. This is Marti’s fourth thirty from
Kracking. Mike Faulkner also got in on the action just missing out on a twenty from the Main with a
19lb 8oz as part of a four fish haul all upper doubles, including a new PB Grass Carp of 16lbs.

Zyg,s monthly newsletter - Page 2 Andychris2 Winter Cat Challenge

The Cat Challenge at Anglers Eldorado is due
to end on the 31st January. Anglers are trying but are yet to succeed in beating Andrew Parsons
17lber. The Angler that catches the biggest Cat from the bottom lake of Eldorado before the end of
January 2012 will be the well-deserved winner of £100 worth of Cat Bait from Chapel Baits.
There are plenty of Cats that exceed the 17lb mark so come and challenge yourself for a winter Cat
and a chance to win!

Christening

Very pleased to say our Grandson Zaine was
christened at Plymouth Cathedral on Sunday . The Mass was performed by Bishop Budd and the
Christening was performed by Monsignor Nunnery. Zaine took to the water like a fish and did not cry
out once to the amazement of Zenia and Joe and Godparents Anna Gregorek and Lee Drury. Afterwards
there was a small private party back at Anglers Paradise with a Champagne toast.

We have over 350
weeks already booked for 2012 and especially the villas for 2 are going very quickly call me to book

Welcome to number 32 e-newsletter.

Despite the sub zero temperatures around the UK, we got away with
just a bit of cat ice around the lakes, no snow. The fish have continued to be good to us and the
lakes are fishing well, plenty of doubles, some nice Orfe and also the odd Tench coming from Easy
Access. Frogs and Ian are back again celebrating Valentines and one of her big birthdays have
already got into fish with Frogs getting amongst the doubles on the Main Lake.
Work has finished on the Playarea which now has child freindly
rubber tiles.

Zyg,s monthly newsletter - Page 2 Playarea1 Frosty Return

We have just returned from our research trip
to warmer climes. The fishing was excellent with three Marlin including a double hook up where I
landed both fish but getting off the plane in Gatwick was definately not so great. I managed
to get frostbite whilst waiting for Joe to collect the car, you may laugh but I had to go to
Okehampton Hospital where everybody wanted a look as it's rare to find it in Devon.

Newsletter Special Offer

It's not too late to take advantage of our
Valentines weekend including sumptious 3 course candlelit meal with wine served by me, disco and
your fishing. Still a couple of 4 posters villas available.
Those of you missing out on our Valentines extravaganza can take
advantage of our latest newsletter offer. Anglers Hideaway 3rd March, Sleeps 4 either singles or
kingsized beds, normally £590 Offer price £300 works out at
about £11 per person per night, an absolute bargain

Welcome to number 39 e-newsletter.
We had great success putting the fish back into the Koi Lake on the 1st December after which we had a chilled afternoon in the bar watching England beat the All Blacks (that Haka'd them).

Our book launch held on the 2nd December was well attended and it was great to meet up with some old friends share a drink and some food from Rose's excellent buffet.

Happy 50th

As it's my 50th birthday this year, anyone staying over New Year is cordially invited to partake in a glass or two of seasonal malt whiskey in my own little Christmas grotto (the Boathouse) on the first day of the New Year during and at the end of the match, normally you have to bring a bottle but as I am in seasonal mood, it's my treat.

We are almost at the testing stage on our new web site which hopefully will be released sometime in February, lots of new features. Snow did make it down at Anglers but didn't stay very long. Fish are moving well with some nice fish coming out of Easy Access.

Welcome to number 47 e-newsletter. Just finished our first Lure Weekend, what a great success. The weather stayed fine throughout. A few thanks first, to Julian Chidgey for an excellent presentation on the Saturday night, also to Fox for donating a Lure Rod and Lures for the raffle, to John Barriball from Lure Heaven along with Dean and Matt for their help and assistance in converting some of our hardened carp and coarse anglers to the lighter side of things and for the prizes in the raffle, their display of rods made a few eyes widen!!. Lastly to all the anglers who took part, thank you for respecting the rules and handling the fish with respect.

Friday

Starting on the Friday, we welcomed the Sky Sports team filming for Tight Lines, as they were fiming they inveigled Zyg and were allowed a little more latitude, they managed to bag 10 species including Carp. Keep your eyes out for the article. Other anglers returned good catches from the Trout Lake, mainly Blues, Tigers, Browns and Rainbows, our other resident species, Tench, Grass Carp, Orfe were more elusive. Over on the other Nirvana Lakes, fishing was a little more difficult, plenty of smaller Perch but the bigger boys also proving more elusive.

Saturday

The normally obliging Trout Lake proved more difficult on Saturday, the residents reeling from the Friday action but one or two anglers shone through Matt Jones did well on species and caught a nice sized Blue Trout on super light gear. One of our residents Ian Gammack had a nice Tiger of 4lbs 8ozs, Alan Hope of the “Crawley Boys” also catching a nice Tiger Trout, One or two better Perch were caught by Dean Pilgrim and Peter Idziaszczyk. We were treated on Saturday night to a presentation on lure fishing by Julian Chidgey, Fox Consultant and Guide which was excellent. The Lure Heaven guys brought some of their tackle into the bar and were on hand to give advice on general lure fishing; all this was followed by a raffle with some great prizes up for grabs. The craic in the bar was excellent which accounted for a distinct lack of anglers out and about on Sunday or was it the weather turning?
We still have some Easter breaks available, call me on 01409 221559 for more details.
Look forward to greeting some of you with a glass of wine soon.

e-newsletter Issue 49

Great Week All Round

Facebook

Forum

Fox Rage Series

Welcome to number 49 e-newsletter.
The Winner of Fish Of The Week had to go to Bradley Appleby from Southampton, who was treated to a holiday with us and a Guided session with Julian Chidgey for his 18th Birthday present from his parents. During his session with Julian, Bradley not only gained more knowledge into Carp Fishing but also put it into practice and caught himself a stunning Personal Best 20lb 14oz Mirror from the Main lake, his parents had asked him where in the world he would want to go for his 18th Birthday, and there was only one place on his mind - Anglers Paradise! The catch really did make his holiday, it was the best 18th Birthday Present he could've asked for!

1st of the Season from Kracking

Taylor Roberts came on holiday with his Dad for the week and did outstandingly on the Main Lake beating his PB. Taylor caught a 17lb 11oz Common, 19lb 8oz Mirror and a Personal Best 23lb 4oz Mirror all at the age of 13!! Taylor caught them using a KD rig, 3oz running lead, size 8 barbless hook and a mulberry florentine cut down pop up, well done Taylor, great angling at such a young age, keep it up! Taylor's Dad Lyndon Roberts managed to get in on the action too and caught a 20lb 3oz Mirror and 24lb 6oz Mirror both from the Main Lake, father and son showing them how its done, lovely to see families enjoying the sport together.
Julian Chidgey opened his account on Kraking Carp with a clean looking 29lb Mirror.

Filming

Next week we have Matt Hayes filming a new series of the Rod Race, previous series have been a great success, as such one or two swims may be reserved on certain lakes but this will be a minor inconvenience.
There are still one or two villas available and at such a late stage we will consider offering short breaks. Call me on our hotline on 01409 221559
Look forward to greeting some of you with a glass of wine soon.

Welcome to number 50 e-newsletter. Having just returned from Andorja in Norway I am proud to say I caught the shark of my quest, a massive 1080lbs Greenland Shark. I caught the fish using Mackerel and Ling bait and fought it for just under an hour to bring it to the surface. Before the epic battle commenced my chair collapsed and injured me.

The only thing which stopped me going overboard– was a protective harness.
The skipper verified the giant catch by wrapping a rope around it to measure its weight and girth, the dimensions were then used to calculate its weight – 1,080lbs – before the crew let it go.
It sets several new World Records for me
First person to catch a Six Gill and Sleeper Shark over 1000lbs
First person to catch 4 species of Shark over 1000lbs
Equals World Record of 4 different species of fish over 1000lbs
Set new World Record of 5 different species over 1000lbs.

Amazing Week

What an amazing week of fishing it has been, so many Personal Bests made and some absolute stunners caught.

Welcome to number 51 e-newsletter. It was my 50th birthday recently (some people mistakenly thought it was my 70th Birthday) it also coincided with the first 5Cs Syndicate Match of the year on the Main Lake, and boy were the fish playing ball for my birthday! Within only minutes of me firing the gun to announce the Match had started, both Stan and I were both into BIG Carp! I caught a beautiful 21lb Mirror on my split cane rod on worms and Stan caught his PB 24lb 8oz Mirror also on worms, we were over the moon and it was so great that I caught a 'Birthday Fish'.

Yet Another Great Week

Another great week of entries, but as always there can only be 1 Winner. The winner had to Michael Pearson who after 10 Years of trying finally caught his target fish from the Specimen Carp Lake, Michael not only caught his first ever 21lb 9oz Mirror from the Speci but then went onto catching a 20lb 8oz Common straight after! As Fisherman and Fisherwomen out there I am sure you can all relate when you finally catch your dream/target fish, it's one of the best feelings and achievements ever. Michael's Story - "After 10 years holidaying in Paradise, I had never caught a 20 from the Specimen Carp Lake despite my best efforts over the years! On Wednesday with a slight improvement in the weather, I decided to re-visit my nemesis and give the Lake another try. I set up both rods with the sit up and beg rig with Banoffee Pop-ups on Korda 18lb hooklink and 3oz lead. I fished over 1/2 Kilo of Cell Boilies. I made sure all my gear was right and I even wore my Anglers Paradise 10 year loyalty t-shirt to bring me luck. It must have worked because it wasn't long before the fish were biting resulting in TWO Twenties within an hour of each other! I couldn't believe my luck!" Well done Mick, great catches and it just goes to show that persistence does pay off, so to all you anglers out there - NEVER GIVE UP

41lb 4oz
Nick Dudaniec with a stunning Mirror Carp caught from Kracking Carp Lake. Nick, from Guildford, spent many hours in previous visits trying to temp one of the lakes monsters before achieving success this week. The fish fell to an Anglers Paradise Beez Kneez fished to the far bank reed margin. It's Nick's personal UK best.

9lb 6oz
David Imamzade topped his weeks coarse fishing with this 9lb 6oz Koi from the Koi Lake. David a frequent visitor to AP, float fished bread on a size 2 hook to capture the beauty. He also caught several other quality Koi just under the 8lb mark, but this was the only one that qualified for a bottle!
