Welcome to number 25 e-newsletter.
It's all go down at Anglers at the moment, we are getting ready for
next weeks netting. It's the turn of the Main Lake so we are already starting to drain the lake. It
will be interesting to see some of those huge Catfish as well as the Carp who have put a fair bit
of weight on this year. As usual the week will be our biggest charity fundraiser with Halloween
party, the legendary bingo night, fireworks and many more events. We hope this year to help the
Winsford Center who are in desperate need of a new mini bus.
Fishing
On the fishing
front, the fish are still moving with some nice fish banked Paul Willsea had two Golden Tench over
5lbs from the Speci Tench and Orfe Lake along with a Blue Tench of 4lb 6oz. Clint and Jamie, 5'C'S
members have once again been amongst the action with Clint banking a 26lb Mirror, whilst jamie just
pipped him with a cracking 27lb 8oz Common.
Last Call for Half Price November Offer
It's the last chance for those of you who have enjoyed a
holiday this year at Anglers to have a week at half price during November, except the Netting week.

Well the Netting is over for another year and what a week it
was, once again I was staggered by the generosity of the people attending the netting and wish to
thank each and every one. We raised over £1500 and are set to donate a total of £2900 To
the Winsford Centre this week for their mini bus, which will mean the less able can access the
centre.
Funds were raised in a variety of
activities, Archery, Halloween Fancy Dress, Tombola, Bingo, Raffles, Quiz, Food, Fishing Match etc A
great time was had by all
Netting the Main Lake resulted in tons of
smaller fry, 15 Grass Carp, over 120 double figure Carp plus or minus 15lbs , 111 upper doubles and
twenties up to 30lbs. 10 Catfish over 40lbs to 60lbs and some stunning Orfe and
Tench.
Filming
Quite a few of our
netters were suitably attired in evening dress and Halloween costume. We were filmed by BBC
Spotlight with yours truly wrestling a big Pussy on the bank and getting into trouble with the
Missus of course
Xmas and New Year Extravaganza
Just when we thought the netting was over, one of our netters,
who was heavily pregnant went into labour and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, more on this in
our next news letter.
Watch this space for New Years extravaganza
news, it looks like we have some super doper celebs coming.

Re: Zyg,s monthly newsletter
Welcome to number 27 e-newsletter.
One of our netting nutters Lee Duffin got
more than he bargained for when his wife Emma gave birth to a baby girl Anna Louise at 7lb 2oz on
the 5November. Preparing to leave for the journey home, Emma thought her waters had broken. The family waited for a while and left at 10.30am for the hospital at Exeter. Anna Louise was born at about 6.30pm after a one and a half hour serious labour which kicked off when her waters
really burst the banks!. Zyg opened the bar next day and cracked open the bubbly to get Anna Louise
used to the Champagne lifestyle. The Duffins recuperated for a few days before driving home.
Don’t forget
to tune in to Sky Sports 4 at 6pm 14th November for another episode of Fishing Gurus.
Dean Macey takes part in a species hunt over a few hours, will he win, tune in to find out.
[size=18]The staff Shangri La
fishing match took place at Anglers Shangri on Sunday, the usual high stakes saw Joe Drury take the
honours after a hard fought match
No Fool like an Old Fool
Rumour has it that our esteemed leader got
stuck in the silt this weekend. Visiting Eldorado “minus phone” to check on the water
levels he got the Mule stuck in the mud, on the way back he fell In to a trap specially constructed
by the digger drivers and had to dig his wellies out of the mud before he started the one and a half
mile journey home, arriving wet and bedraggled. On his arrival home he got scolded so went for a
shower and did not come down until he was bribed with food, mind you, this is only a rumour. Rose
says there’s no fool like an old fool.

Welcome to number 30 e-newsletter.
May all that you wish for in 2012 come true. Our New Year party was well attended, with some wicked fancy dress along with those who wore evening attire. The winner of the fancy dress was Mark Bloxham who came as the Alamo! The fishing match as usual took place on New Years Day with yours truly losing a nice fish in the margins. There have been some great catches including Jamie Miller with two good twenties from the Speci Lake also a 23lb Mirror from Kraking Karp. It was a pleasant surprise that amongst our honoured guests, we had two who had graced the festive edition of both the Angling Times and the Anglers Mail in Bob Roberts and Steve Collett respectvely.
Andaman Islands
Just come back from the Andamans. Rather battered, seas were really rough. I got caught in the tail end of the hurricane which devastated the Philippines and nearly went under. Caught over 21 different species of fish in 5 days, but not Dogtooth, we couldn't go to the right spots, was too rough. However, on the 5th day I decided to pack it in as we weren't getting anywhere, so we were on our way back to the harbour when I caught a couple of small Bonito and glory to God, a small Dogtooth. Moral of the story is never give up! Or as my wife says, there's no fool, like an old fool! See the Big Game section of the Website for the full story.
Wedding Blessing
On New Years Day I blessed Terry and Penny Croxall amidst a bit of miserable weather the sun shone on the righteous (as you know it never rains in Devon). Bob Roberts was a page boy and the happy couple were netted for eternity and promised to honour and obey each other and go fishing every day.
We have over 350 weeks already booked for 2012 and especially the villas for 2 are going very quickly call me to book the villa you wish for 2012. The next extravaganza is Valentines which is on the 17th, 18th and 19th February, it’s only £300 per couple including budget fishing ticket and candlelit dinner with Zyggy’s wine. I’m feeling generous so Splendour which is for two couples, normally £600 is on Special Offer at £400 for all four of you
