Learn to tie with the man himself at
The Spring Flyfishing Show.
28th Feb & 1st March.


With two fly tying workshops for charity and three brand new fly fishing presentations Hans van Klinken will a very special guest at our 2009 show. Hans will teach two private fly tying workshops for The Dutch Cancer Society charity at Saturday and Sunday morning starting both at 8.30am. In around one and a half hours, Hans will teach, how to tie a few of his most successful patterns to a group of flytyers. The workshops are not free but all the money will go to The Dutch Cancer Society , (Hans van Klinken's chosen charity) All you will need bring with you is your own flytying vise and tying tools. The specific tying materials exclusively needed to tie each individual fly will be available at the workshops and sponsored by some of the exhibitors.

Hans will tie and explain every particular tying step on screen while he personally walks around and helps each participant follow each individual step as closely as possible. The patterns you will learn to tie include some of Han's world famous fish catchers, such as;
The Klinkhamer Special, the Leadhead and the Once and Away etc. These flies are very effective all over Europe and the rest of the world.

Cost is 15.00 (This fee is donated to Hans van Klinkens chosen charity, The Dutch Cancer Society ) plus a 9.00 day ticket. Total cost 24.00. For a class and a 2 day ticket - Total cost is 33.00.

BE AN EARLY BIRD




Get there early and beat the traffic...

The showground hosts many large events and has developed a very refined sign system that directs traffic from all main routes however, there maybe the odd delay at peak times. You can guarantee being ready to enter the show at 9 o'clock by arriving a little early.

Car park opens at 7.30 am...

We are opening the main car parks at 7.30am.

Hot drinks & hot food available when you arrive...

There will be catering facilities available in the main car park close to the entrance to the exhibition where you will be able to get hot drinks bacon buns etc...

Early bird toilets...

Toilet facilities will also be available near the main show entrance.

Dont miss a minute of the show...

The show that keeps growing & growing.


The show opened on the 28th February to a huge crowd of excited visitors who came to see a 2 day flyfishing extravaganza. The sun shone brightly through the windows as visitors saw theatre talks, casting demonstrations and featured flytyers do what they do best. Charles Jardine slipped into some waders and crawled around in the casting pool to teach to a packed gallery of visitors how to cast a short line accurately.
