After thursdays slow day out i thought id get out today for a few hour's with me left over fresh peeler.

the only reason being the kid's and her indoor's are at the flick's. so i sneeked out for 3 hour's for a flattie bash and an experiment with weight's and tacktick's.

go's like this the venue. a slightly slopping beach with mixed mud and sand bottom flowing to the left were a large hole has developed.

the bait and rig.
two hook unclipped flapper with a powder coated flat led. filled with crab.

the method was cast about 30 yd's and retrieve a few feet every minute till the bait passed right threw the hole.

first cast and after a few retrieve's a bit of resistance and my first fish.

then next cast same again.

the next cast a bit longer no resistance then bring in rebate and a little one.

by now the water's dropped to about 3-5 ft. then another single.

then a double header.

and the state of the tide when i packed up 2.5 hour's later.

so back in before she's home and even had time to do this report.
finished with eight in all. and proof that the trawler's arnt hampering the fishing . it's just a case of doing your homework. joe
