An Afternoon out
Yesterday we all drove round the area having a look at a few fisheries we eventually decided to have a go at a fishery in range of Julz's electric scooter. A small pond with plenty of lillies and a couple of islands, very picturesque.
We left at about 12 and were fishing by halfpast.
Michael and I were on the pole and Julz was on the feeder. Michael and I started off with a few small roach and bream when Julz called for the net, she had caught her first ever green tench (She had only caught golden before) it was only about 12oz but a lovely fish
A Few minutes later Michael caught a fish he didn't recognise, he had caught his first ever Gudgeon. Then Julz managed a strange catch
Yes it was a signal crayfish.
It was my turn next with my first crucian for nearly 20yrs
I caught two more crucians during the session and dozens of roach, bream to about a pound and a few gudgeon. Michael had plenty more roach and a few small skimmers.
All in all a great little session and I'm sure we'll be going back again at some time. sorry for the photo quality but they were taken with my phone not a decent camera.
