mostyn n.wales
decided to fish mostyn yesterday as i was on 2-10 id give it a few hour's.
tide 27.2 l/w 09.44 slight s/w wind flat calm
parked by the cottage 100 yds before llety pub. and followed footpath sign.
walk over railway bridge till you get to this style (100 yd's).
The option's once here are go to your right for comfy fishing or to your left for the deeper water. I alway's go to the left for the deeper water. the fishing is similar but to the left there's more chance of a conger and you seem to get the better codling there (when the show).
you head for the big blue tank and fish in front of the big rock to the right of it.
bait was frozen lug and fresh mussle.
before baiting.
rig was a 2 hook flapper with chrome and iluminous bead's and size 1 hook's the need for the bead's is better when the water is clearer for the flattie's.
set up one rod for a change instead of the usual 3.
straight away little dab bite's but couldn't connect. as the tide started to flood the crab's start feeding.
once flooding the whiting started. all pin one after the other. so no flattie's about and the weed started so i called it a day with a grand total of 6 whiting.
