Hi lads,

Was wondering if anyone can advise about Sandwich Bay - Never fished there but fancy giving it a try this coming Friday/Sat.

Can you park OK on Princess Drive and if so is any end preferred?

Is it far to walk for the beach? Both me and me mate are a little disabled with the walking.

Don't want to be doing any trek's.

And what sort of species can we expect so we know which baits might be the best to take with us.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice

tight lines

know your quarry

The Lugworm, Arenicola marina, is extremely common around the British coastline, with most books on seashore life describing these animals in great detail. Sea anglers however, have known for many years that Lugworms do not all behave in the same way, they look different, have different habitats and casts and certainly appears to be more than a single species. This was proved correct, when, in 1993, two researchers from Swansea University reclassified ...

Mussels are a very much underrated bait, which is strange as they'll catch a wide variety of fish... Bass, Cod, Wrasse & whiting to name a few.

It's free if you know where to find them, easy to collect and simple to prepare in advance......

Here's the method I use to open and prepare mussels for bait.

I know people advocate the easier method of pouring boiling water over the mussels until they open, then dunk them in cold water to stop them cooking further....but I feel this ...
