DDAC how it started
D.D.A.C.
Derby Disabled Angling Club was formed on the night of 24th July 2008.
It was a great evening and very well attended. The Guinness flowed well. We are using the William Caxton public house in Sunnyhill, Derby as our headquarters and we are very gratefull to the landlord for allowing us the use of his pub.
A constitution and club rules was done and match rules sorted. It was agreed that subs will be £10 a year but will be reviewed at the Clubs A.G.M.
The committee is
JOHN STARTIN - CHAIRMAN
BARRY VOLLEY - VICE CHAIRMAN
DAVE WRIGHT - TREASURER
SECRETARY - JOANNE ALLEN
PENDING - MATCH SECRETARY
NIGEL BUTLER - HEAD BAILIFF
ALAN MORTON - COMMITTEE.
KEITH HAYNES COMMITTEE(Elect)
We are having our own website (not a free one) which should soon be up and running. Matches will be ongoing in the winter months as well as summer.
We are also aiming for about 20% of the membership to be able bodied to join us as helpers who as well as fishing the matches will be able to assist in getting tackle to bankside for those who cannot manage
I would like on behalf of D.D.A.C. members thank those members who have joined the committee to make this a successful club.
