Well with the frost last night we decided to fsh the PAD stretch of the Trent at barrow.
I picked john up at 0715 & we got to river 10mins later. I settled on peg 1 & John on peg 2. John put 1 rod out with Halibut pellet on & did not get a bite.
i put 2 rods out 1 down left with meat & 1 out front with maggot feeder on I did not get a touch on either rod.
The lake behind us only had a small piece of ice in middle when we arrived, by the time we left at 12 it was virtualy covered.
Anyway we got out for a few hours on the bank which was great

It was nice to be out with my good friend Martin. Its a pity the barbel didn't want to play I had 40lb braid on my reel so any fish hooked wouldnt have got away. Before we left I put 3 gallon of old stinky wheat in pegs 1-2 and a load of old pellets I had left from a few month ago also 2 carrier bags of food I had put through my blender left from one of the parties I went to over Xmas. It was also nice to have a chat to John the landowner who has been cutting the trees down Well done John on doing a great job.
